Unbelievably, we are starting our fourth month of pickleball on St Maarten. It is quite the difference compared to last year when Marty and I did not play a single game during our stay last winter.
There were 10 players again this morning, filling two courts. And, another new player joined us: Marga from Sint Maarten – there have now been 42 different people joining us this winter – a number that pleases me very much.
And, most exciting, Sue returned from England with a new ‘bat’ (Sue is a lovely English lady so we accept her terminology for a pickleball paddle).
Incroyablement, nous commençons notre quatrième mois de pickleball à St Maarten. C’est tout à fait la différence par rapport à l’année dernière où nous n’avions joué aucun match lors de notre séjour l’hiver dernier.
Il y avait encore 10 joueurs ce matin, remplissant deux courts. Et un autre nouveau joueur nous a rejoint: Marga de Sint Maarten – il y a maintenant 42 personnes différentes qui nous ont rejoint cet hiver – un nombre qui me plaît beaucoup.
Et, le plus excitant, Sue est revenue d’Angleterre avec une nouvelle «batte» (Sue est une charmante dame anglaise, nous acceptons donc sa terminologie pour une pagaie de pickleball).
