Where to Play – Port de Plaisance Tennis Club

It appears that it may be awhile until there are dedicated pickleball courts on St Maarten.

Until then, let’s plan to play at the Port de Plaisance Tennis Club. We can quickly convert a tennis court to a pickleball court (see an earlier blog).

I met with their manager this morning, Renata Savitsky. Who knows, they may create permanent courts if we can show enough interest for pickleball.

Please connect when you plan to be on the island and my wife and I can join you.

  1. Hello,
We will be arriving Jan 5th to Feb 9th, looking forward to playing. We will be staying on the french side (where are the courts?). My wife is a 3.0 and I would be a 4.25 player. Do we need to bring outdoor balls?
    thanks

    1. The courts are next to Princess Casino, which is on the east end and just south of the causeway bridge on the Dutch side, just south of Marigot.

I am a 4.0; my wife is a 3.0. I have outdoor balls so you do not need to bring any.

We look forward to it – Craig

      2. We are playing tomorrow morning at Port de Plaisance at 9:00, courts #6 and #7. Hopefully your visit has not been disturbed by the activities on the French side of the island.
